Why do ou use haben to hunger and sein for satt?

These are VERY good, I enjoy learning it. I only do a bit a day, but I know it works because I am retaining it, I don't have to look back for much at all.

wait so it doesnt matter if we say for example "Ich bin satt" or "ich habe satt"? If so, how would you know when to use haben or sein?

@capturescene Hi, you cannot literally translate from english. We are hungry is in German either: Wir sind hungrig ... oder Wir haben Hunger.
