  • Yeah, I wanted the UL series too, but it's double the price for the cheapest model. The new UL30JT looks really nice, but that isn't going to be under $1000, after my 1201N, I will upgrade to that as well :D.

  • I know... its quite expensive...

I am hoping for $999 for the Ul30jt....

and if it dose cost more then $1000 I will go for referb macair or envy 13

  • Is it hot and noisy?

  • Its actually pretty quiet and cool

    Keyboard never gets warm

  • @KlingonSpider It was a Dell 1510 WLAN card, search for "Asus 1201N Installation and Support" first result is the guide you need (InsanelyMac)

  • @dmoath What card did you put? A broadcom? Tell me or I keel you :)

  • win asus 1201n with windows 7 and Dell e1705 whit windows xp (is most light that windows 7) and lose LOOOOL

  • @dmoath Dude that is amazing, did not know you could change the wifi card to, cheers for the reply, So cant wait to mod it now.

  • @hateus420 Well, i did a full upgrade, SSD, doubled the ram and also changed the WiFi card to make it OSX compatible, it's really close to a real macbook pro at half the price and half the weight :)

  • @dmoath So when i put a ssd on my 1201n, is there any thing else todo? Or can i just install windows straight away, been thinking about getting one, but wanna wait so until my warranty is up.

  • asus 1201n its superb, ive played just cause 2

  • Grab an SSD Drive (Intel X25M) for the 1201n, backup to an external USB HDD and then restore, best performance upgrade ever :) There are tons of guides about opening the 1201N and replacing the HDD is not hard at all.

  • im hopefully going to get a 1201n with the money i get for my birthday. i would like a smaller computer and this looks ideal. not too small a screen and pretty respectable performance. it has better graphics than my acer laptop and hopefully wont burn my legs :P
