Singer and actor Paul Nicholas had a top ten record in the UK with this 1976 single 'dancing with the captain'. Dancing with Mr. Nicholas in this clip are Him & Us, a dance troupe choregraphed by Theresa Scoble, who dances here with her twin sister Lesley a part of the ensemble. The fellows doing the introduction at the start of the clip are Arrows band members Alan Merrill and Terry Taylor.

It's highly unprofessional for the crew of a vessel to ignore their duties in favour of dancing, with or without the captain. Safety is compromised and the lives of the passengers can be put at risk. Songs like this encourage such practices and should be banned.
