  • Nina is so cute and it's so impressive how she switches languages =) My nephew is due next month, and he'll be raised to speak English and Spanish/Catalan. I'll have to show this to my brother!

I see Nina's name is written in katakana - is there any particular reason for that? =)

  • @MissAyeGo Yes, you should encourage your brother to use both English and Spanish/Catalan around the house from the time your nephew is born. Probably one language will be dominant, and that's OK. You don't need to be too strict for the first few years about what language your nephew responds in. The important thing is just that he be exposed to both languages in a consistent manner from a young age. Good luck to them!

  • whoa that's impressive!

how could you find any idea to filming your daughter and then upload it on youtube? she's really famous now :)

  • @redheaded26 We just filmed her so we could show our family and friends in America at first.

  • does nina sometimes find any trouble in speaking? i mean, she's talking in 2 languages but she's still a kid, so it must be hard though.

  • @redheaded26 Well, since her mother and I can speak both English and Japanese, if Nina doesn't know a word in one language, she'll just say it in the other language, so she doesn't really have too hard a time.

  • @zinnerah Thanks! I've been using English with Nina pretty much since she was born, and her mother has always used Japanese with her.

  • Where's Butthead's butt?

  • @geofinjapan It just seems like an odd to have in Japan, either way I enjoyed this and all of your videos!

  • @TokyoNerd I can't remember, but I have had them since before I came to Japan and Nina found them.

  • um...may I ask why you happen to have a Beavis and Butthead figure?

  • lol, Beavis and Butthead

  • I'm always impress with You and Nina ... I love Herr like my Own :) excellent job Jeff, and Mama

  • Excellent work. MY daughter could do all the parts in Japanese which I thought was pretty awesome by itself. We never bothered to teach her the English words.

  • @geofg I will pass that on. Thank you!
