I think it's both. I think some knew about the crisis especially people like Frank and Dodd was coming ahead of time but other moderate GOP and Dems in the Senate or Congress I think are so blissfully stupid they don't even have a clue.

I understand if people wanna trade their dollars for gold and silver, but if this is gonna happen on a massive scale, that would make the dollar plunge even more.

I think Peter and Alex share some similar ideas about our curren government. The big different is that Alex believes that this economy crisis is well-planned by the elite. On the other hand, Peter thinks that the government is just stupid and arrogant.
