More like Streets of Rage resembles Final Fight. Final Fight was released in 89 while Streets of Rage was released in 91. I'm a bigger fan of SoR but you have to respect what came first.

@jab540536 acctually the first was a women, but nintendo had law problems with the guys beating up women. so they then turned poison into a transvestdite. but then that was controversial so they just made her a full man. poison has many different sprites so dont think that the poison sprite you see is the only one they made. theres a lady poison, transvestite poison and a guy poison.
