@wheelman037 The only cockatoo you can find for under $300 is stuffed. These are NOT cheap birds. If you add up all the money you would need for a cockatoo (cage, toys, etc) you'll end up spending 20,000 at least.

Never ever buy a cockatoo if you're on a tight budget. These birds are for someone who can easily spend money.

@wheelman037 If you're serious about it, try adopting one. There are countless cockatoos who get shoved off after an impulse buy because the owner has no idea of what kind of commitment they're getting into. These creatures can't just be stuffed in a cage to be decoration. That's essentially the same as putting a 2 year old child in one, expecting them to be quiet and easy to get along with.
