A double shot of espresso extracted with my Rancilio Silvia. The beans (zecuppa.com)were fresh ground in my Rancilio Rocky and I poured the steamed milk into a rosette. (No one was available at the time to hold the camera to capture the pour). I added some music and some images from Italy.

I hope you enjoy it. Want a latte'?

  • This extraction seems too slow.

  • @joeldamianicigan Indeed it was. I've gotten much better over time.

  • What is this music?

  • Inno di Mameli (Roger Doucet) from Songs of Glory. I bought it on iTunes for .99

  • Sorry my reply didn't come through mark. How's your Silvia working for you?

  • I'll reply when I get home, Youtube is acting weird from work. :/

  • No, I don't know Sir Zan. How does the ridgelessness of the portafilter help?

  • Hah, you and my friend Zan are both in HI? Do you know each other?

  • Hey, come ahead and give me some espresso-making lessons!

  • Matt, thanks for your response. I order a tamp from Reg in Canada...they're supposed to be excellent. Does the Silvia not come with a decent portafilter? How does not having a ridge help? Sorry I'm new to all this.
