Mrpastry909, Syria is not comparable with Lebanon and palastine, it is comparable with Egypt. However, it is not in Israels interest for Syria to cut relations with Lebaration organizations which oppose Israel. Syria's relations with these organizations always them to be more effective to make Israel both safer or more dangerous. Israel wants them to betray these organizations, something that I don't think Syria is willing to do yet.
Iran is the only ally to Syria so fill in the blancks

Sure, giving away Golan would be beneficial for Israel, as long as you forget 2000, 2005, and 2006 when Israel withdrew from Gaza and Lebanon and got hit by a barrage of missiles that same day.
Israel, keep Golan! At least Netanyahu is smart enough to realize that the rest of the Middle East can't be trusted.
