Here we have one of the last 288s available that I put the hurt on in the porting department for a guy up in Oregon. It has the lastest and greatest work performed on it. The Stihl is no slouch and is for a guy in Nevada. It was worked on congruently with the 288, so the porting style is the same. The 288, however, has a better base platform to start with than the Stihl and can be made to run stronger. The 394 XP is my sleeper - up for grabs - and runs pretty strong with a mid range, older version tune on it.
Thanks for watching!
HUSKY's are awesome, love my 288XP!

That 394 Cut real real nice. In stock trim, wouldn't you agree that Stihl's seem to have more bottom-end grunt, whereas Huskies feel like they pull better on the top-end (ie. more rev's ) but lack the slow rev power of the Stihls? I have a 660, 360, 372, 390, and am a Husky fan simply because of their lack of vibration. .. I can say that stihl 360 MELTS the bar-oil tube if ran very hard. What a pain in the ass saw that 360 is.
