This is what we are looking for our senior project. One question how long do you have to wait to get enough moisture on your floor? Thanks for the information!
-
uhhmmm , I insist you put a fan so it blows a high amount of fog, maybe 2 or 4 pieces of 4" 12 volt fan can do it
-
hey how about you shut up and just get on a do it already

hey how about you put a fan or 2 on top pushing air in to the container so the fog comes out faster

@gr8ash123 We considered it, but after running countless tests, we found that once 20lb. of dry ice was actually dropped in there....it has enough force to pop the lid open. What this essentially means is that it would just give the fog somewhere else to go besides where we would want it to go. Your basic CPU fan which I believe you are describing requires no force to be exerted against it. Although the fan would be spinning, it would not be forcing air in, rather swirling the more powerful fog

Any hints you can give on making one of these? how does the ice basket get dropped into the water and get pulled out? What kind of heater?

@traderpete007 Pretty basic and straight forward. The dry ice basket got dropped in manually and then the lid closed. I picked up this "bucket heater" up at Tractor Supply Store. Once you have this thing completely filled with 20lb. of dry ice it makes ALOT MORE.good luck!
