2 x 45 lb plates plus 1 10 lb plate (it's there on the right, look when the video starts). Plus my body weight 185 lb. That does equal 285 lb.--that is the amount of weight being lifted up, except for my hands and forearms...so subtract out a few lbs if you like. If you want to say I'm only lifting 100 lbs then fine. But then you need to explain how my body doesn't weigh anything and tell me whether it would be harder or easier to do a pullup if I had another 25 lb on my gut--of course it would be harder. So before you comment think if you can

  • Yeah, you're not supposed to count your OWN weight, just the weight added. Still very impressive, though.

  • not a 285 lbs pullup. your not supposed to count your own weight. if that is the case there is a power lifter at my gym who can do 5 300 lbs pullup

  • Narrow grip pull ups, not overly impressive.

  • @mosh0r With regard of those lifts, doing them with body weight makes it pretty much an endurance-based excersise, while pullups (For most people) most definately are not endurance based

  • I have a freak friend who weighs 265 and does 18 pullups all the way down and back up. But good work for sure!
