how funny, and really true.I am surprised they even would raise this subject back then. the 377 utilized Pratt & Whitney R4360 engines, which in my opinion should never have come off of the drawing board really. A compounding radial engine, which consisted of four rows of seven cylinders, earning the nickname 'corncob' due to its appearance. A gazillion extra working parts and delivered the same horsepower on the Wright R3350, which is a simpler but finicky engine.
