Big Air In The Square

One weekend Galway city won't be forgetting anytime soon!
Bmx and downhill riders from all over Ireland descended on the city for Big Air in the Square and the launch of National Bike Week, and of course we provided the VIP treatment with the Monster Energy Motor Home!
Ramp Rage displayed a wicked BMX and stunt Bike half pipe session, with serious talent from the UK and Ireland, throwing out tricks the pros would be proud of.
Elevate Promotions and Moycullen Bike works brought out the impressive air bag and kept the crowds entertained till closing.
On Sunday Eyre Square shopping centre was transformed into an entire ramp and downhill course through six floors! With a run in from the shopping centre we saw the riders shredding the track putting it all on the line with Backflips, tailwhips and 360's over the phone box on to the square.

Later in the day with the crowd pumping, the airbag was the main attraction. The Local riders put on an exhibition with sick tricks including double backflips, front flips and cliff hangers! Massive shout out to Stew the Monster Motor Home driver, who has shot to fame since videos of his trips in Europe hit the web, and he didn't let the Irish fans down as he hit the air bag ramp and landed to the biggest roar of the day!
Prizes were awarded for craziest trick and most impressive bail.
The huge turnout of riders and amped crowd goes to show how much the sport has grown in Ireland over the last few years.
