No, not really. By the way Libertarians are just two differences away (albeit crucial differences) from being conservatives. I understand your point, I just don't agree with it. You keep assuming there is nothing tying together the different positions on issues, when there really is.
I can't answer those questions becuase it doesn't say too much about their parenting styles.

George F. Will made the observation, years ago, that ideas come in bunches, like grapes. E.g., belief in gay rights, women's rights, worker's rights, and consumer rights tend to clump together under the heading "liberal." If you oppose all those rights, you're probably a conservative.

you mentioned the elephant (economy) and the gorilla (war) but you never mentioned the Giraffe (police state) and the rhinoceros (extreme corruption) (among other things).

the economy is everything. fuck the social issues.
I'm not sure why you don't want to accept the culture war, and why you don't understand what it is, and why it does not include the economy. I did not say it is unimportant, it just is not included in what I am talking about.
These individual issues DO relate to each other. Each political stance stems from a system of Morality, which stems from upbringing.
Read "Moral Politics," by George Lakoff.
Strict Father Morality = Conservative Outlook.
Nurturant Parent = Liberal Outlook.

what about the Father that lets you learn for yourself? is that the Libertarian outlook? Or the Overbearing Mother? Is that the Statist outlook?
you're missing my point entirely. The very nature of the argument given the way you and so many others in the mainstream are presenting it is designed to implicitly exclude other voices or ideologies from the debate
