@iamloitering if this is pop where the hell is it in the charts? Pop being short for popular, surely? This is an artist of quality, not someone who produces music for the number of views, and personally I think that quality makes his music worth a billion of the generic pop song you get nowadays. And 'pop' is a stupid word and just one I would never associate with him, at all. Goes without saying that this is my opinion of course.

oh crap this is that Bright Eyes guy...i thought he sounded familiar, i saw him open for Elliott Smith in NYC in the summer of 2003. Watching BE, then watching BE *watch* ES was funny. It was like a follower watching the real thing...at least that's what i took away from that day,
