Despite the poor sound quality (1946 iirc) the incomparable, masculine elegance and charm of this performance shine through all the time - Busch was undoubtedly one of the finest Mozart and Schubert conductors ever, actually, he was impeccable in all classical and early romantic repertoire - balanced, natural tempi, neither rushed for virtuosity's sake nor heavily inflected or dragging, transparent orchestral textures and an incomparable sense of grace.
Pure beauty - Sparkling like champaign...

Fritz extracts even the hidden nuances. Solid and symphathetic.

This version is very agile, precise, when i hear it i can think Schubert wanted this Simphony to sound like this. Thanks Nachmarchen for this jewel
