Lol i had to square dance to that music in junior high....square dancing is soooo corny....but gymnastics is awesome!!! Nice routine

So Katya was miserable in gymnastics, but she ended up being a coach. That seems to often happen - gymnasts who "hate the sport" and are burned out, end up remaining in the sport as adults. Chelle Stack comes to mind - in 1992, the last thing you'd think Chelle would want to be was a coach/gym owner.

@justinmjb - people are so anti short-hair (on women) these days. Her hair is o.k. from certain angles - her bangs in the front do look a little "raggedy", though.
She had this routine for like forever. But it's a very quality routine - and, by 2000, I guess she had mastered it.

@happyjellyfish - that move looked a little strange my first couple of times watching it, but the more I watched it, the more I became converted. It works. Katya was sooo talented, that she made that move fit the routine and look cute. A less talented gymnast wouldn't have pulled it off nearly as well.
Actually, this vid doesn't show off the FX at the best angles - there are other vids that show off this routine better.
