Two immigration experts speak on the Village of Carpentersville's proposed Illegal Immigration Relief Act Ordinance. The speakers were handpicked by Village President Bill Sarto, as a counter-attack to the election victories of his political opponents on the board.
The speakers featured are:
Carlina Tapia-Ruano, president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association; and Brian R. Perryman, a former U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service employee who started as a border patrol agent in 1969 and reached the position of agency director for the Chicago district before retiring in 2003.
Both experts declared the ordinance, proposed by Trustees Paul Humpher and Judy Sigwalt, as a "bad policy, bad law, and expensive."
Recorded May 22, 2007, at the Village of Carpentersville Hall, Illinois. Read the media coverage at:

Being in this country legally is one thing, being an illegal is breaking the law. I'm sure they would not let us live in Mexico as an illegal citizen!!!!

Idiots attempt to make this a race issue. But the facts speak for themselves. YouTube SEARCH The Following: "immigration gumballs" / "Madeline Cosman".
Idiots attempt to make this "we need immigrant workers" ISSUE. However, we didn't need immigrant workers from the 1890's through 1980's. THE REAL ISSUE - is corporations desire to have "cheaper" labor. And, they spend lots of money to spread this rhetoric. I will open debate any one with my rules. Contact me for a debate if you dare.
