  • whats the difference between もう一度言ってください。 and もう一度お願いします。?

  • @stupidboyrofl In this context, they mean the same thing. However, it might help to know that もう一度言ってください explicitly means "please SAY it one more time". もう一度お願いします, though, literally means "one more time please" and doesn't necessarily have the meaning of "say" - it depends on the context. I hope that makes sense :)

  • does baka mean stupid, idiot or fool in japanese ? i cant figure it out

  • @PotatoesAreGood24 It means all of the above! It can be used as an adjective (stupid) or a noun (idiot/fool).

  • can you use nido for twice?

  • @KuroMushiChan Nido does mean "twice", but you wouldn't use it when asking someone to say something again :) You would still have to use mou ichido.

"Wait" is 待って "matte" in japanese.

    "matte kudasai" = "Please wait."

"chotto matte!" = "Wait a minutes!"

( ちょっと "chotto" means "a little bit" )

"matte" is the conjugated form of the verb 待つ "matsu".

  • @Emarci93

    度 "do " means "time(s)" with numeral.

for example, "ni" means simply "two",

and "ni do" means "two times" or "twice".

and then, 回 "kai" is the same meaning word.

you can say "mou ikkai onegai shimasu".

("ikkai" = "ichi"+ "kai", modified by liaison.)

  • why "ichi do"?

i know "ichi" means one but what does "do" mean?

  • @PotatoesAreGood24 baka and test :3

  • @xTheDarkMindx matte (i don't know if I wrote that right... but that's how it sounds)

  • How would you say "Wait" in Japanese?
