The guy's correct, we do literally have an apocalyptic rave as the BBC theme tune.

Really nice theme, but to imply that it was "completely different' and "never done before" is a bit of a stretch.

Is Scott Pelley using this theme, or does he get his own composer too?

@arnebarnard NBC's theme ("The Mission") has actually been used since the latter part of 1985.

As for this theme, CBS dumped it last week for new anchor Scott Pelley in favor of reviving the 1987-91 theme.

CBS couldn't get John Williams so they got 3rd best (Jerry Goldsmith was the second)

James Horner to try and do something that we've NEVER HEARD BEFORE...oh *wow*...

Seeing how Mr. Horner is ALWAYS recycling not only OTHER themes but also his OWN, I guess the heat was on to compose a nice piece of vanilla suitable for mass consumption, instead of composing from his heart, the way Mr. Williams did.
