Video short showing the flown CG locations for all 4 flights of this model. 1/62 scale, built using dimensions given in Peter Alway's "Rockets of the World".
I posted this to assist others wanting to build a flying model of the Vostok.
All major dimensions of this model were within a couple of % of actual, including the small triangular fins.
All 4 flights were stable, though occasionally a little wobbly. The last flight, which used (4) A10-PT motors in the strap-ons, had the most rearward CG, almost at the bottom of the core transition. Nevertheless, it flew nicely, and even straightened out after some initial launch-induced pitching.
