The name "Smorg" is probably derived from "smörgåsbord," a very large Swedish buffet sometimes called in English as "Smorgosboard", due to "ö" and "å" not being in the English alphabet, and "bord" means "board" in Swedish) (compare to the immense amount of Smorgs).
--It may also come from the term "Smog", based on their dark, cloudy appearance.
--Rearranging two letters in "smorgasbord" can create a new phrase, "Smorgs aboard," referring to their presence on the train.

I like the theme that is used in this music for the train battle; it's blood-pumping and the low tuba makes it sound deep. I really love this.

@ColonelRashid Well, I think it's partly because this chapter was supposed to be the "easy" one, that just happens to attract a ton of trouble and problems for Mario. When you think about it that way, it would seem to be fridge brilliance, what with Mario just being a villain magnet for these things.

You need to make more Ver. II of all the other awesome battle themes/songs without the annoying sound effects in the background!
Sweet Job!

I have a soundtrack of the game, without sounds, though it was on my computer that stopped working

I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks this boss just came out of nowhere, like it had little to do with the chapter, or it's out of place. o.0
Still like it, though. :P

@BlackXSouleStudios Heh, really? I always thought this boss was one of the easiest. The only really dangerous attack was that double headed fork move...idk what to call it...but even that wasn't enough cuz you could always just beat away at it like the regular appendages.

Comment continued: I spoke with some random profesor in the game who said he was researching the feeding habbits of Wild Smorg; he asked whether or not they attack people and I said yes but that's all I really know (it disproves the theory of an X-Naut experiment gone awry though lol). I hope that answers all your questions. :)

they should have more battles like this and also make one for DS since they have one for all the other systems (starting with N64)

I took a game rip that I downloaded, then went in Windows Movie Maker and edited it. Using some creative cutting of the original sound file, and moving around/duplicating things, I made it just like the original without the annoying sound effects. I agree that they should've made a handheld version of this game...
