Jiffy Lube kept my car on the SIDE of the road. I got their "Signature Service" before an 8 hour road trip. They finger tightened the oil drain plug, neglected to properly torque it down, and six hours later, BOOM. Blown engine on an almost brand new Subaru WRX STI. Yeah, that's expensive.
So yeah, they will keep your car on the road. Not necessarily running.
