Melanie is singing live on the radio, in a room full of people, a large microphone fixed in mid-air, with only an acoustic guitar. What this is called, is CONCENTRATION! That's why this performance is done so well. She concentrates on every single second!

This is an example of genuine talent, when a singer sounds as good or better live with acoustic instruments than recorded. She was perfect.

Without the mixing production in the studio she sounds just ok to me...the sound of her voice recorded on a plain mic like on radio just sounds average..theres singers which you can tell they sound the same as they sound in studio...james morrison for instaces...if you hear him in a room, just sound so professional as you would hear on cd..but that doesnt happen with mel in my opinion, bu still a great singer though, not superb or unbeliveable like some of the new singers like jessie j or adele.
