Barbarella, Ba-Ba-Barella! - Jane Fonda's legendary opening strip tease was worth the ticket price. I purchased this Cult Classic on laser disc, just to have Jane Fonda tease me to the jazzy theme song. - The sheer beauty of this wonderful piece of entertainment remains one of my favorite Hollywood Moments of all-time! - By the way, this Sound Track album is available on the internet as vinyl LP record at Thursday's Golden Goodies, the vinyl lovers' candy score.

    The movie has 2 1/2 of 4 stars. The opening strip tease and the theme song account for all of the points. The rest of the movie is total crap. Without Jane Fonda and her undeniable sex appeal, there would be no Barbarella. The "story" (and the rest of the cast) suck big time!

    This is the redone 1977 re-release title sequence.  The animation of the letters were different in the 1968 version.

    Thanks for the info. I had no idea there were different intros. I took the clip from the laser disc, the song from the sound track LP. I never cared much for the movie, but the opener sure is awsome!

    That movie is interesting in the fact that is was not much more than a vehicle to show off every little part of Jane Fonda's body. There is a close up on every little part (-1). Not only that but is was Henry Fonda's little girl !! Yesteryears Tom Hanks !
