▌Playing Tips▐

- Palm muting the strings is the key to playing clean sweep patterns.
- Play each note the for the same duration.
- Practice with little or no distortion, this allows the player to hear mistakes and play each note evenly.
- NEVER SWEEP WITH YOUR PICK ON THE FRETBOARD! It is improper and it will most likely make you play inconsistently.

▌Additional▐

I've been playing this pattern since 2006. I am not sure what this is originally from and I cannot remember where I came across it. However, it sounds like Pachelbel's Canon in D Major. I tabbed this pattern myself with guitar pro 5. Anyway, as always, thanks for watching my vid. • This sounds really canon'ish.Anyways, great playing man !

  • @granskater It is cannon. thanks for watching.

  • @extremesoul666 Hey,thanks for the answer. May i ask you something please? Would you recommend to practice this with more treble or bass? Distortion(High gain or low gain) or clean? Would apreciate any info.

  • @granskater My preference lies with lower highs and higher mids. I feel too many musicians now are just cranking the distortion and highs so it covers up their mistakes. It makes for a weak tone in live performance. You need a good balance of mid range since the frequency of guitar tones are in that range. Vocals tend to take up the high range, drums take the highs and lows, bass has the lows. I would always recommend practicing guitar with little to no distortion to build chops! =P

  • a sweeping contest between this dude and Rusty Cooley would be epic as hell !!!!!

  • WOWWW MY FACE JUST MELTED... i thought i was good at sweeping.. .this kid is insaneeeeee

  • that sweeps sounds like canon rock lol

  • @coolmega33 my left hand is playing each note of the arpeggio. the goal of sweep picking is to pick the each string with your right hand and move hit the notes with your left hand in a sweeping motion. its kinda difficult to explain. I dont recommend this sweep as a beginning sweep pattern unless you understand basic guitar techniques. But im sure you'll find the tab in the description useful for practicing. Download it and play it slow over and over until your hand develops muscle memory.
