Excellent. The one thing though that I've seen most 3D animations of lightsabers are missing is the motion blur. Lightsabers always have major motion blur in the movies. I haven't worked out how to do that yet in 3D (without doing it in AfterEffects like they do in the movies).

i use 3ds max. the blade of the saber is just a cylinder that has full self illumination. there there is a video post glow on it that fades from white to red inside to out.
