Ignore the bit in the beginning about Vimeo...this was indeed originally made for one of their contests. Not sure if I'm going to wind up in the running, but since more people can enjoy this on YouTube I figured I'd better upload it too. Cinegear is a trade show for motion picture gear...everything from lighting to cameras to sound gear to everything else. The special part is that it's held every year at Paramount Studios. They'll be celebrating their 100th anniversary next year, and they are the only major studio whose facilities remain in Hollywood: every other major sold off their Hollywood facilities. I love the juxtaposition of the historic lot with all this awesome 'leet new technology being shown off.
This was shot with my Nikon Coolpix P100. Yes, a consumer-grade camera. Between the stills and the 720p HD video (It's capable of 1080p but I usually shoot 720p because of the limits of Final Cut Express) it is more than meets the eye. Every little bit a Nikon. The bit at the beginning was shot with my Flip Mino HD 2nd Gen, and the P100 is in my hands.
