The original and most popular line-up of Motown group The Supremes sing a hit song by The Toys.

The Supremes' cover of "A Lover's Concerto" is featured on the trio's "I Hear A Symphony" album released in 1966 that was titled after the group's 6th #1 hit.

The Toys' original version was first released in 1965 and rose to #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as getting to #5 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was also featured on their debut album "The Toys Sing "A Lover's Concerto" and "Attack!"" released in 1966.

  • I never knew the Supremes did this. Still love the Toys version, but I am loving this one as well. Diana, Mary, and Cindy are fantastic!

  • @pythoncase Diana, Mary and FLORENCE*. Cindy was not an original member and did not replace founding member and soprano Florence until the summer of 1967...

  • @chocoletecake136 Yes, isn';t it wonderful what Women's Lib did for us. Other side of that coin is that most all of those "Classy" women singers were exploited by a male dominated music industry. Todays female stars such as Beyonce probably make more money in a month than most of those "classy" stars did in their whole career.
