Our spring lettuce greens are finally getting bitter as the daily temps keep rising so I reluctantly decided to to take them out and make room for other plants. Wow do I wish I still had my chickens or some rabbits!!! They wouldn't mind the bitterness at all!!!

  • I was wondering if you run your pump on a timer or if you let it go 24/7

  • @fatsuru

I've always just run them 24/7 but I've may consider a timer shut off at night this year. I'm still undecided though because it has done so well this way, and I believe that the pumps generally work better and last longer when run continuously instead of intermittent. A few times in the last couple years the power would go off and when it came back on almost without fail the pump would be hung. Because of that I guess I still vote for 24/7!

  • nice job !....thank you for the info.
