Testing an afternoons theory led to building this, an acoustic reverb dampener prototype, named Box A.
Designed to reduce reverberation levels and act as a retrofit design for large spaces with long reverb times due to lack of soft finishes and or acoustic insulation.
Box A achieved a reduction of 5 dB at a range of frequencies but also achieved an increase in sound by 5dB when standing on its legs. Bonus.
... become a loveable companion to the group, and even improved a social event by being placed in front of the maxed-out speaker and producing a clearer sound by reducing the higher frequencies.
