I totally agree with you. It's so sad that this kid was killed for no apparent reason. I feel like the death penalty should be brought back, but only used for extreme instances like this one.

Eye for an eye is all good when you put it on paper, but in reality people are wrongfully accused, and convicted of crimes they didn't commit... obviously not in this case, but that's why Canada doesn't have capitol punishment.

This is really messed up, makes you think about the people you come in contact with on a day to day bases.

there is new news on the topic. Vince Li who did this is quite mentally ill, according to reports that are coming out. He thinks god ordered him to do it, because the kid was some terrible monster who would take his life or something like that... so he's sentenced to a mental institution where he'll be reviewed annually for his fitness to return to society.

The family of the dude is quite upset that he has a chance of being let out.

Im sorry this is a horrible response. Im pretty sure if the cops would have shot the guy in the head they wouldn't have been any better than the guy. 2nd) I don't think there are any rules in Australia restraining you from having a knife on the bus, the security isn't like airplanes. The thing to note is that the people were evacuated the situation contained and the man was apprehended, as in most cases the person in the vehicle was dead already and the top priority was to protect the others.:S
