Because so many people where asking, yes, the movie is out for a while already. There are no official translations I'm aware of, but there are fan-made subtitles, Google should know where you can find them.
It was never and probably will never be released outside of Japan.

It might have been better storywise, but I honestly think that the acting and editing was horrible. Ryuk looked so fake and all.

Are you people kidding? The death note movie was hella better than the anime version -_- It ended better, too, and didn't introduce those Mello and Near losers.

At some points in the death note movie you can even see there mouths don't match the words very bad quality

but im still ganna find and watch this anyway!!!!
