I always told: when only 2 apps get their Linux incarnations Windows will instantly die: Photoshop and AutoCAD ...
... as for video is nice cool, but i doubt any serious CAD user need and ever will use all that effects

i hate those stupid effects.

I can't decide what's more nauseating -- the teen-trash-background noise or the pointless wobbling and shivering effects that you have added.
I wonder how well does AutoCAD work in linux with a large file, as opposed to a single vehicle block file ??
does anyone have a current version of AutoCAD working yet without resorting to VMWare, ie. 2012 ??

Music.....goodbye

@DarthV1CT0R I appreciate that. Actually with Acad 2002 I was able to get it working without any problems. :)

@Pepsifx357 Copy all DLL of Windows in folder of wine. If you have Windows in DVD, you can install in VM and copy the DLL to run all application of Windows in Linux.
-
Did you find it hard to get Autocad to work on wine? I haven't succeeded yet.
-
the wiggly spinning window effects are gay, annoying, distracting and pointless.
-
and how is the performance on linux instead of using windows? thats the really big question here. are there any performance drop? specially thinking of rendering and larger scenes in viewport

@prashantpawar Good news everyone! college grads with a semester of engineering enjoy autocad on ms windows rather than looking into more powerful alternatives such as Pro-E on Opensolaris or Bricscad on Linux and are Ok with mediocritivity rather than Compositing Amazingness that puts more fun into graphical computing

Great Video, does in run/install eastily? + no messing around with the .dll's or the terminal? Thanks

An Autocad, an accounting application, a video editor and a couple of graphic design apps.

That wavy window feature is so useful for all my CAD related work.
You can almost see this news on the Onion:
***Area engineer uses the wobbly window feature to model a flying car***
Area engineer Bill used the wobbly window feature in XGL to simulate how a flying car would perform under extreme wind turbulence. "I had no idea whether the flying car I was modeling in AutoCAD would be able to take care of the high wind turbulence, thanks to the wobbly window feature now I know" said, Bill.
