War is eternal no matter how much we as humanity try to stay on the road of peace it can never be. For there are those that want to cause mayhem and destruction for religion or for personal benefit. The last are the worst especially if all they care about is to see the world burn under their dark ambitions.

The an armor-clad marine looks out the observation deck's wide window, watching the silohette of Earth as it burns below.
He bows his head, not in defeat, but in rememberance. Of the souls lost to get him here. Of those soon to be lost as the war rages all around.
He steps away, casting a final, sorrowful gaze toward his smoldering homeworld as he leaves the room to prepare for the looming conflict.
