Guitar tutorial for the Radiohead song Creep As requested by my friend Shan. Suitable for beginners maybe? Give it a go why not?

A couple of things I meant to say...

When playing the distorted part, the tremelo picked part, you could always play individual noted on the G and B strings, but octaves thicken the sound up a bit.

That scratchy sound before the distortion part kicks in is played by just dampening the notes with your neck hand and strumming them really hard.

I keep saying "strum" in the video when I mean "pick"

After doing this, I had my truss rod adjusted and the action lowered. If the action on your guitar is low (the strings are closer to the neck) you will find barre chords much easier. If you can't play them clean, take your guitar to a shop and ask them to lower the action!

My fingers hurt.

I'm hardly a guitar teacher.

Anything I've missed let me know. Any questions or requests, feel free to get in touch

Cheers :)

    the bends

  • man you can play really well ! i have just started.. and i'm a chick

haha my fingers kill ! i have THE tiniest fingers and they hurt like a bitch right now

  • Maybe this might help. Go to You tube and search The Finger Gym from justinguitar. This will help you to develop strength and agility in your fingers. Put this in your everyday music routine. I have been playing for years, and I have found this exercise for 15 min everyday really helped me with my small digits. Listen to what Justin says on the video and it will make horse sense. One of the best tutors on guitar technique.

  • I too have girlie hands mate, so I literally feel your pain. Thanks for your instructions im finally starting to get it!

  • Thanks, man. Great tutorial. And I agree that it is painful, lol.

  • Can you post a lesson of Tom Jones - Delilah, but only if you like that kind of a classic song. I just like that one and can't find any video lessons out there. By the way my you tube id is sharvan1000. I'll use that to message you hereafter. Thank you.
