420chav, please don't put Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton in the same sentence,let alone compare the two. Clapton has done absolutely norhing worthy of being in any way compared with Vaughan. He may be the most overrated man in the business. Whereas Vaughan may very well have been better than his own hero Hendrix, and is easily the greatest blues player rhe world has ever known.

This is the man that made me want to learn guitar. Jimmy made me love it, Clapton made me listen. This man though has always been the stumbling block to my actually getting one and learning cause I will always hear his soul and know I will never be as good. F it, I'm buying one tomorrow cause I think Stevie just told me "Brother, your soul is yours and mine is mine. Play what you feel."

its hard to compare blues players with others cuz man we all learn from each other....... its a story and whoever is telling the story puts there own twist on it dig......i love anything with guitar in it as long as they play with their heart and soul.......... pretty much ne thing with strings...but stevie man... he had a way of putting that story across to u , as if u was there .. 99 percent feeling 1 percent equipment ......
