Four baby red squirrels have been rescues after being blown out of a tree as the tail-end of Hurricane Katia reached Britain.

The squirrels, who are just five weeks old, were found by a passer-by near Morpeth in Northumberland.

The animals weighed just 70 grams and went into shock.

They are being taken care of at a nearby wildlife sanctuary.
