I play much years that game... to capture a town and build ur own towns u must do the quest of the governor of bahama's ... he sent you to destroy military convoys then when they are weak he sent y to capture two towns.. when u will capture he give u a town for ur succes work! also u play like shit! i have 25 line ships and i fought with 25 pirate ship in a pirate town (5 ships per fight) and i fuckedu p the towers... (10) with 5 line ships... dumbass!

@Beylians23 u have to make ur ship a battleship. im not english and cant really explain how but u have to mark the ship with a cannon in the right upper side of the shipf picture

With one military corvette, you could have easily wiped out both towers without taking damage. Sail directly toward one, and turn after they fire, they miss, then you hit, you get away, then circle and repeat. Where you make your attack run is based on wind direction, and where they and rocks are placed. Also, try aiming at what you're firing at (don't fire until perpendicular to target - cannons pointing at target). Try avoiding being hit by your opponent, as this is bad.
