If all house owners buy this tecnology it would lower the cost to nearly nothing of the cost of buying from the grid. And why do you always screaming of "the pay off" When you and your kids cant breath the air anymore or having cancer its to late. So dont laugh at those people that realy do something when you sitting on you ASS screaming when every cent leave your pocket. Sorry about the bad grammatik and speeling :D
@voltscommissar methane is a renewable fuel, farms produce a lot of methane as well as garbage dumps. and methane is not a fossil fuel per say, its part of the breakdown effect from organic materials like a compost, where they turn food waste into fertilized dirt.
pardon me? That is 24 kilowatt-hours per day, which is about twice what many energy efficient homes use each day.
If you need more peak power, it is not at all expensive to add a "buffer" in the form of batteries and an inverter.
Hydrogen does not grow on trees: it can be produced carbon-free by the hydrolysis of water using wind-power, but more commonly it is made with the expenditure of much energy, from methane, itself a non-renewable fossil fuel.
