I think the biggest problem with Corabi is that he gave the Crue too much of a grunge sound. Crue fans wanted to hear the Crue not Nirvana.

its wierd since MTV pushed grunge down our throats and lamented metal was a past 80s craze when it came from the 70s and their happend to be a metal explosion of EVERY genre from 87-92 startin with GNR and up to Panteras stuff. It seems like MTV was trying to push grunge in this interview. They did their best to turn Crue into a joke in this interview, to make it look like they were lame because they weren't grunge. The fact is that grunge couldn't have lasted, since it was about hating yourself, whereas metal is about a good time. The only real grunge bands with staying power were Nirvana and Pearl Jam, and you can only see one of them today. Motley Crue is still going strong while all the grunge bands are forgotten.
