Sometimes when you 'think' you made a mistake in a watercolour it can actually work to your advantage and it can end up being the best part of your painting. Don't give up just because you made a 'mistake', you never know it might turn out to be your gem.

  • I like that idea a lot, Kendra. With an acrylic painting, you can just paint over it until you get what you want, but stakes are high in watercolor and also, in a way, with linocut printmaking. On every block I've carved I've experienced an "oops" slip of the knife or accidentally cut off more than I meant to and I've had to just work it into the design. You'd never know - ha.
