Gomez was born in Texas on July 22, 1992 being named after the late superstar singer, Selena. 2. She's an only child. 3. 2007 was a lucky year for this girl because she booked Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, the show that put her right into the limelight. 4. She was on Barney and friends back in the day and has also played in Spy Kids 3D, Walker Texas Ranger and Hannah Montana. and 5. Selena wears a purity ring - since she was 12 - inscribed with 'True Love Waits'. Some other things you better know if you're a SG fan, Gomez is the singer for the band The Scene, she's on Twitter, she's part Spanish/part Italian, and she stars not only in a funky Borden milk commercial, but she's got a big role in the upcoming A-list movie, Monte Carlo. So those are just the bare minimum facts that you need to know about Selena if you're a fan.
