don't worry american sings are still way better than korean's. All korean's sign in front of store, hotel, any building are plastic printed ugly typography signs.

I do graphic design for a sign company. There are specific parameters and pricing to take into account. I've only done one that bad. The problem is that I have little control nor do I talk to the customer directly. The salesman comes up with the design. I've tried to make it better but I've been told, "If he's not happy, he won't be able to sell it. So if he cannot fathom my advice, you get crap like that. PS: I hate my job.

@sandgreenz Your job as a designer isn't just to mindlessly create whatever the client asks. You also have the ability to educate them about the design/purpose of what you do. I don't believe for a second that the client dismissed every good design because they kept coming back to this piece of crap design. If your company is only in the business of producing whatever garbage the client pays for, then that's also a problem, just as much as your company's inability to design a sign.
