@TennisAnnalyst i only said, that federer had a streak about 23 semi-finals :) and that this 17, what is quite unbelievable, is nothing compared to what he was going to achieve in the near future :)

I suppose you also think Alex Corretja would have been able to beat him on clay around the same time?

Even if he doesn't win Rolland Garros, I would still put Federer above Sampras and Laver because he has made 1 semi and 3 finals at RG unlike Sampras who only had 1 random semifinal and the Grand Slams during Laver's time were only played on grass and clay, no hardcourts. Don't get me wrong though, both Sampras and Laver were phenomenal players.

Nadal is an outstanding player, but I do not think anyone can reach his accomplishments.
