Mike Huckabee crashed our jame session and sat in with us on Bass. Trey Hill(guitar), Ben Dorman(bass), Andrew Buttry(keys), and Fred(drums). Good times!
Would I vote for him? Not likely. Would I gladly have him in the Community of Bass Players? Gladly. Steady, fitting line with some nicely-placed fills at the "right times".
@markp150 There's no right or wrong way to play music. Thats why it's a form of art. He's playing the 16 bar rhythm and it works. Now politics on the other hand...
As a bassist for many years I gotta say he needs to work on his playing. . Blues bass is supposed to groove and be right in the pocket. He's all over the place, very choppy and not smooth at all.
@beattific89 Well, the fundamentalism is one of his beliefs, but who cares, you can agree or disagree, personally I believe in the Holy Bible, but it's whatever, right? As far as his POLITICAL ideas, they're pretty good. He's got a great track record as far as economic policies go too. He's likeable too. And he's a true conservative, unlike Romney. I'd vote for him, though I'm more of a Ron Paul guy haha.
Yeah, totally agree man. . .I'd vote for Huckabee in the next election. And not because I'm a Republican myself, but I think he showed some strong effort in the primaries against McCain and Romney. The only prob I have with him is, like you said the fundamentalism and stuff...
WHY is it that you say you would not vote for Huckabee? He is a vertical politics guy. Except for his belief that every human life has intrinsic worth and value. The FAIR TAX is the only thing that is going to help bring your generation out of debt. He halved welfare in Arkansas, balanced the budget all 10 yrs he was there, got reelected every time til term max. Give Huck a chance!!!
at 0:21 and 0:36 they had to cut it out because he had to take a couple of tokes of medical marijuana.
