Here's the bigger question:

Surgery is usually performed as a very last resort. Everything else has been tried, and, unless it is performed, the medical ailment, problem etc., will not be fixed.

Are all boys simply born sick? What is the medical indication that necessitates circumcision in a baby simply because he is born a boy? Without one, can a doctor even be performing circumcisions, let alone be giving parents any kind of "choice?"

The "looking different in the shower" argument is a load of crap. The idea of being naked in front of other men is weird enough, so why should "looking different" matter. Anyway, if being different means having an undamaged dick, I'd rather be different thanks. Would you want to be, I dunno, a dwarf if you were surrounded by dwarves? Of course, not, you'd be thankful you're normal.

@Stretchalot1 I am university trained medical doctor and had my two sons circumcised, all responsible educated enlightened parents subject their boys to amputative penile surgery preferrably without anesthesia. It makes them cleaner and better behaved makes them better lovers and more popular with the girls.

Nature makes mistakes too, think of congenital disabilities or other birth defects.Circumcision is warranted, it has no risks whatsoever, totally pain free un traumatic procedure and best performed as radically as possible.
