You should strengthen up your characters before approaching this. It makes the battle slightly easier.

Best Place to Level Up between 50-70
Location: Temple of Enlightenment
Enemies to Fight: In beginning, you are extremely weak compare to your enemies. If you have fire absorb (defeating optional Persona Boss at Old Mansion)you have easy fight with a monster called Babaalloon. Casting All-Flarus will cause them to use Self Destruct for some easy experience.You can also eliminate high hp Wild Beast by using Death spell.

Best place to level up after 70+
Location: Temple of Enlightenment
Enemy to fight: Hellish Kelon
Description- Around level level 70, your experience will start to slow down. Unless you fight the Hellish Kelolon. Defeat them with double experience skill equiped will guarantee one level after one fight till level 95.
Pretty good considering how weak it is. Double cast Groundus with your mages and Combo with your fighters. Hellish Kelolon is located on all places in Temple of Enlightenment except the first area which consists of weaker version called Black Kelolon. I highly suggest use turn tail until you fight it to speed up the process.

Fighters(Kaim + Seth)

1. Weapon for Kaim: Dunrandal
How to obtain: Get Orichalcum. It is located on Temple of Enlightenment-The Valley of Loneliness near second save point for that stage. Move up with two elevated paths to get Orichalcum. Afterwards, visit Ipsilon Mountains Mining Site. Keep climbing up until you see a old man in upper mining area to exchange your Orichalcum for Durandal and one pretty good ring. Rings are kinda of useless if you keep spamming Combo It's effect only applies to regular attack, special attacks are excluded.

2. Weapon for Seth: Age of the King
How to obtain: Complete all Tolten Royal Seals
*must need royal equipment skill to equip it. It does 420 damage, a hell lot better then either Seth or Kaim's Ultimate Weapon

Strategy
This guys is really tough due to it's immense hp, pure magical power and immunity to most magical attacks. With the right strategy, you can beat this boss with no problems.

For your party, you should have all 4 immortals in your party due to their reviving skills and one mortal. All your immortals should at least equip Persistence and Magic Avoid to endure brutal punishment cause by the immortal one. First turn, use one of your mages to cast faster on both Kaim and Seth, so they can use 3 Combo attack in one turn instead of traditional two.

For remainder of the game, keep spamming 3 combo or combo (if they got killed)with your fighters. Use one divide white spell(really slow spell) if your mages at high health or majority of your time you will be using double cast Reversa if your mages at low health.

1. I hardly see how using DLC is cheating.

2. Obviously you have never heard of Reduce Casting Time. You get the Reduce Casting Time 1 and 2 skills from Cooke. If you have both of them on, pretty much any spell can be cast in one turn. I think the only exceptions are Sacrifice Self, Leveler, Death and Annihilation, which still only take two turns with Reduce Casting Time.

And a ring.

And a Slot Seed.

And, more importantly, the Quad-Element Seal, which lets you absorb all elemental damage as healing. =D

Honestly FFX is completeable with use of minimal magic
