The "MegaBind" works great. The MegaBind is a plastic comb machine, they are far easier to use than wirebinding and look just as good.
The WireMac is bad because the binding part of the machine is SO impossible to use. You have to transport the paper and the comb to the binder, half the time the paper falls out and you have to start over again.

which machine would you recommend Donny? I'm looking at doing runs of about 50 bindings at a time, not that often.. I'm looking for a cheap model I can use with wire binding..... a bit lost :(

I couldn't disagree more. I love my WireMac. You aren't going to be able to bind a library in a day with it, but it isn't bad for my occasional run of 100 books. Much better than my old GBC.

Complete piece of junk.
I can bind faster with my own hands. This is NOT the machine you want when you have a deadline.
